Valter Cegal graduated studied Electronic Engineering at Sao Paulo's Maua School of Engineering Maua. He is a business consultant for the OLPC Association in Brazil. He has more than 30 years of experience in the Electronics Sector, serving in managerial positions in the business areas of multinational companies, including: Ford, Philips Electronics, Arrow Electronics, Flextronics and Advanded Micro Devices.

Previously, he worked as Chief Operating officer of the Telecentre of Business and Information Association - ATN (www.atn.org.br),
Vice Chairman of the Semiconductor Committee at American Chamber of Commerce of Sao Paulo (AMCHAM-SP),
Business Advisor of NESsT Organization (www.nesst.org) in Brazil, and
Member of Science & Technology Committee of Ordem dos Advogados de São Paulo - OAB-SP.
